Farewell but not goodbye

In time to come when I am gone
May my good words and deeds live on.
Remember the good times that we shared.
Forgive and forget the times I erred.
May my life, however humble,
Not cause another soul to stumble
But be a beacon to light the way
And guide you to a brighter day.
If days or decades my future hold
May I accept what might unfold.
And use it to this lesson teach:
That no dream need be out of reach.
I bid you goodbye for now my friends
And hopefully we’ll meet again.
