Today’s conveniences — tomorrow’s necessities

On these hot days in the American Midwest, I am so thankful that I have air conditioning. I wonder how people used to get along without it. But I wonder how I got along without modern marvels like the Internet. I remember the “old days” when I had to go to the library to look something up. Now I can just “Google it”. Used to have to do my taxes with pencil and paper. Now there’s an abundance of online apps and tools to assist. Amazing how quickly we become dependent on new technology. What wonders will be considered a necessity in twenty years that don’t exist today?
